Nokia Video Converter allows you to convert and watch videos on your mobile phone.

This Symbian video converter makes the whole movie conversion process very easy. Nokia Video Converter designed to convert movies from popular files formats and from a DVD in just a few clicks, preserving picture and sound quality as best it can. The application's interface is very clearly labeled with large buttons for adding video, adding DVD, playing, and converting.

You get a great deal of control over your conversions in Nokia Video Converter. You can choose which specific device or devices you want to optimize the movie for. There are a number of devices listed in the program, but it doesn't include some of the newer Nokia models. Thankfully, you can add your own, using the app's Profile Editor.

The preview window in the center of the Nokia Video Converter interface allows you to play the file and choose the in and out points (you can, of course, choose to convert the entire video if you want).

Nokia Video Converter also includes a screenshot feature (albeit a pretty lame one) for grabbing a picture of the screen.

TV To Go allows you to watch TV on your phone. You can use it to stream live channels, or download video clips for viewing at your leisure.

There are more than 40 channels included in TV To Go, in categories such as news, sports, humor, cartoons, and erotic. Though some of the channels are obscure and quite amateurish, you can access programming from the likes of BBC World News, France 24, Sky News, and Extreme Sports Channel.

You should note that there is only one free-to-access channel included in TV To Go, which is a promotional channel for the service. In order to watch the channels you need to pay a subscription. You can order a particular category to stream for a fortnight, or purchase an individual clip from the Clips section. The micro-payment process is very simple, and is done simply by sending an SMS from your phone.

Navigating TV To Go is very easy thanks to a clear, well-organized user interface. There are a number of options you can tweak, such as language and video quality, and you can configure different users.

One thing we'll point out about using TV To Go is that adult content is very prominent on the site. Enter the Clips section in TV To Go, and you'll see lots of erotic content in the New and Popular sections, meaning you should be careful letting kids use the app.

TV To Go provides a simple way to watch television on your phone, but it could do with a bit more quality content to make it really worthwhile.

YouTube for Mobile is a compact, yet powerful port of the popular video sharing service, compatible with a variety of Series 60 devices.

If you really can't bear to be away from YouTube while you're out and about, then you should definitely install YouTube for Mobile. It offers a clear front-end that makes finding and playing content on YouTube quick and effortless.

The main page of YouTube for Mobile is ultra minimalistic, containing a preview of a featured video, plus three options: 'Search', 'Popular Videos', and 'My Account'. The 'Menu' screen gives you easy access to other services, and many of these options can be launched using hotkeys.

The search function in YouTube for Mobile is very straightforward, displaying results in a very clear manner, and keeping a history of your searched-for items. You can view popular videos with the click of a button to see most-visited, top rated, most recent, or recently featured.

YouTube for Mobile gives you a decent range of options for managing your account. Besides allowing you to access your favorites, playlists, subscriptions, etc. The app even allows you to publish videos, using the 'Upload' tool. Be warned though, this can take a long, long time, and if you don't have a data plan for GPRS you'll end up spending a fortune.

There are a few strange glitches with the current version of YouTube for Mobile - the program hangs from time to time, and it constantly calls up Internet security warnings if you haven't disabled this option in your phone's settings.

Overall though, YouTube for Mobile makes for a manageable slimmed-down version of the popular video site to carry around with you.
